There's A New Gin In Town

The growth of artisan craft distilleries and breweries across the U.S. has grown dramatically over the last decade and Jackson Hole is no stranger to this new business growth.

The newest entry to the industry is Jackson Hole Still Works which launched its business almost a year ago with Highwater Vodka, a corn and oat based spirit. Good friends, Chas Marsh and Travis Goodman are the masterminds behind the company, and are passionate about creating quality spirits made from Wyoming grains.

This week they unveiled their second product, Great Grey Gin.  Great Grey Gin is a handcrafted, ultra small batch spirit.  Using a unique combination of steeping and vapor infusion, Great Grey is distilled to reveal a delicate and smooth botanical blend with a slight twist to the typical London Dry style.  You’ll find hints of citrus, spice and fresh floral notes in conjunction with the traditional juniper and coriander essences.

Another unique element of their product are their labels.  Partnering with the Art Association of Jackson Hole, Chas and Travis have held art competitions to create the labels for their products.  Katy Ann Fox won the competition earlier this summer, creating a beautiful Jackson Hole area vista for the vodka and an intense owl eye for the gin label.

Jackson Hole Still Works is located just south of Jackson Hole and is open for tours and tastings from 10 am – 6 pm, but please call to schedule a visit.  Chas and Travis distill all of their products on-site and when we dropped by today, they were busy hand-labeling the new gin product as well as the next batch of vodka.
