Bras For A Cause 2016
While October is traditionally known as Breast Cancer Awareness month, in Jackson Hole, May has become the second month to raise awareness of this important issue with the annual Bras For A Cause fundraiser, sponsored by the Soroptomists of Jackson Hole.

What makes this fundraiser and silent auction so unique is creative angle and wide participation and support from across the community. The Soroptimists reach out to businesses and organizations to sponsor bras and find individuals to decorate them.  The competition and creativity has become incredible over the years as decorators and artists have created runway worthy pieces of wearable art. Last year, 3 Creek Ranch Golf Club had sculpture artist Ben Roth create an outfit made of metal aspen leaves and branches that was spectacular! This year, AJ Holding, our concierge and former chair of the event has created "3 Creek Ringmaster" for the Club's submission.  The event's highlight is the exciting fashion show and live auction where the bras are auctioned off to the highest bidder.

The proceeds of Bras For A Cause are donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Wyoming, the St. John’s Hospital Foundation Women’s Healthcare Fund and to support breast cancer awareness.  The Women’s Health Care Fund helps uninsured and under-insured women in our community receive health care and treatment for a variety of women’s health exams, including pelvic exams, health profiles, PAP smears, bone density scans, mammograms, breast ultrasound and breast biopsies.

Tickets for the event are $50 and are available from AJ, or at Ella's Room and Teton Barber.  The events starts at 6:30 pm at The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.
