Wrapping up it’s 50th Anniversary, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort welcomes skiers and music revealers to gather in Teton Village and on the Town Square for a weekend filled with an amazing mix of Americana, rock and county.
First and foremost, the Festival organizers are asking the public to use the START Bus if possible. With a large number of concert-goers descending on downtown and Teton Village, parking will be limited and the bus will be your best way to attend the festivities.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Thursday, March 17th
Sneaky Pete and The Secret Weapons
Location: Music Under the Tram, next to Nick Wilson’s
Time: 3:00 pm
Venue Details: FREE
Sneaky Pete and the Secret Weapons is a collective of musicians channeling original music through a lens of hazy funk and unending groove, all witnessed and interpreted from the peaks and valleys of the Rocky Mountains. With a diverse web of musical inspiration, The Weapons have absorbed sounds from all over: smokey downtown jazz clubs, raucous New Orleans street parades, exotic Latin ballrooms, late-night laser-filled clubs, intergalactic spaceship stages, festivals of love & roses, and so many more!
Friday, March 18th
Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Headlining a Fulfilled Friday Night in the Jackson Town Square
Location: Town Square Stage, Jackson, WY
Time: 5:00 PM
Opening Act: Big Sandy and his Fly Rite Boys
Venue Details: FREE and open to the public. VIP tickets
Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats practically explodes with deep, primal and ecstatic soulfulness. This stunning work isn't just soul stirring, it's also soul baring, and the combination is absolutely devastating to behold. You don't just listen to this record-you experience it. So it's entirely fitting that the self-titled album will bear the iconic logo of Stax Records, because at certain moments Rateliff seems to be channeling soul greats like Otis Redding and Sam & Dave. But as this gifted multi-instrumentalist honors the legacy of the legendary Memphis label, he's also setting out into audacious new territory.
The place where Rateliff is coming from is intensely real and intimate. Doing what he does is an act of bravery. "These songs are about the struggles I've had in my life-drinking too much, that kind of crap," he says with characteristic candor, punctuating the admission with a rueful laugh.
Saturday, March 19th
Chris Robinson Brotherhood
Location: Teton Village Parking Lot
Time: 5:00 pm
Venue Details: SOLD OUT
The Chris Robinson Brotherhood is touring in support of its latest release, Phosphorescent Harvest. Praised by Rolling Stone as “at once quirky, trippy, soulful and downright magnetic,” it’s the band’s third long-playing album for Silver Arrow Records. Robinson declares: "We've created a piece of rock 'n' roll here. People can look to us and rest assured the genre is alive and well.
In an age when so many put their beliefs in trends, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood is committed to something deeper. In Robinson’s words: "We don't make music that can sell iPads. Our music will not sell you a Prius. I like that. Writing songs has always led me to good things in my life. The songwriting saved me through the dark times, and the songwriting makes it that much sweeter when it’s good. Real success can only come in pursuit of an authentic sound. We’re all very committed to this music, beyond money and egos. That’s a unique place to be."
