Three years ago the members of 3 Creek Ranch Golf Club wanted to create an event that would benefit the Jackson Hole community. From our brainstorming session, the Rees Jones Invitational Golf Tournament was created and the Club stepped up as a Co-Challenger for Old Bill’s Fun Run, the annual fundraising event for the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole.
The first year the event raised $35,000, the second year we reached $44,000. In addition to our general contribution, we also funded 4 scholarships for Jackson Hole High School seniors.
This year, in honor of our 10th anniversary we set our goal on $50,000 and added the Rees Jones Tennis Invitational so more members could participate in supporting our incredible community.
 The honorary guest of this year’s Invitational was Charlie Rymer, golf analyst and host of The Golf Channel’s Morning Drive show. Charlie had the members in stitches from the moment he arrived at the Club. His stories from the world of golf, and of course reminding us that he beat Nick Faldo by 10 strokes kept us entertained throughout the weekend.
We were also honored that Rees Jones, the architect behind our spectacular course, was able to attend and see how the course has matured in the 10 years since he created this masterpiece.
As we celebrate our 10th year as a Club and as a member of the Jackson Hole community, we were overjoyed when we exceeded our goal for the Community Foundation and raised $100,000! These funds will be added to the Co-Challenger pool which will be used to match money donated to the over 200 non-profit organizations in the valley.
3 Creek Ranch Golf Club is a community of friends who truly understand the importance of paying it forward and giving back to the organizations that provide so many services to locals and the many visitors who travel to explore our beautiful valley and National Parks.
We are humble by our members giving and thrilled our 10th anniversary summer was capped off with an incredible showing of friendship and community.
