July 1st - 4th Festivities

Fireworks, rodeos, marathons, music, pancakes, parades and so much more!

Celebrating the 4th of July in Jackson Hole brings out the kid in all of us, and by the end of the weekend you will be exhausted and happy.

Whether you want to explore the hiking trails, Jackson or Jenny Lake, or take in every event in town this coming weekend, there is something for everyone.

 July 1-2

The Grand Teton Music Festival officially kicks off on July 1st with a piano recital by Denis Kozhukhin and a cabaret-style concert by Broadway Star Doug LaBrecque on July 2nd.

If you want to experience a true western rodeo, join the fun at the Teton County Fairgrounds at 8:00 pm.  The Jackson Hole Rodeo provides a high energy, 2-hour event where cowboys and cowgirls show off their roping and riding skills.  And kids (12 and under) have the opportunity to join the fun with the Calf Scramble where they race to get a ribbon from a calf’s tail.  The rodeo is held on Wednesday and Saturday during the summer.

July 3

If you can’t make the fireworks on the 4th, we’ve got you covered on the 3rd!  You can enjoy two nights of fireworks at Teton Village and free outdoor music.  On Friday the 3rd, The Delta Saints from Nashville, TN will turn the Village Commons into a giant party with their Psychedelic Voodoo Rock and Rock at 8 pm, followed by fireworks at 10 pm.

Another free concert in town at the base of Snow King Resorts and compliments of Jackson Hole Live, features Jared & The Mill, with Wyatt Lowe & The Mayhem Kings at 5:30 pm. They are a super fun six-piece folk-rock-inde-bluegrass band from Phoenix, Arizona, sure to get us all singing and foot-stompin’ again.

July 4th

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so head to the Town Square from 7-10 am for the Jackson Hole Lions Club annual Pancake Breakfast.

Now that you’ve carbed up, run it off at the Annual 4th of July 10 km Run at Owen Bircher Park in Wilson at 9 am.  Entry fee $20 pre-registered, or $25 race day, with all profits benefitting Friends of Pathways.  Register at Skinny Skis or Pearl Street Bagels.

3 Creek will once again have a float entry in the 4th of July Parade which starts at 10 am.  The route travels down Snow King Avenue to Glenwood, turning on Broadway and ending on Willow Street.  Music, horses, classic cars and of course, great floats will keep you entertained!

Teton Village is the place to be for Music In The Hole, a free ticketed concert performed by the Grand Teton Music Festival at Walk Festival Hall, 6 pm.  Enjoy patriotic classics and more.  Then step outside and listen to Calle Mambo on the Village Commons at 8 pm, before watching the Village fireworks at 10 pm.

You can also stroll through the Silver Car Auction on the lawn of the Mangy Moose at Teton Village on July 4th and 5th.   The auction brings buyers, sellers and spectators from all over the world.  Preview and Bidder Registration - 8am to 11am; Memorabilia Auction - 11am to 1:00pm; Classic Car Auction 1:00pm to 6pm.

Back in town, the free Jackson Hole Live concert at the base of Snow King Resort, will feature One Ton Pig, a sextet that melds the hard luck singer-songwriter tradition of artists like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Steve Earle with the dazzing musicality and imaginative genre-bending of jam band musicians for a fingerprint aesthetic that blurs the lines between folk, country, jazz, gospel, bluegrass and rock-n-roll.

Fireworks will light up the night sky following the concert at 10 pm.

Happy Birthday America!
